The first month
From the first call to the first report
- 01
Step 1: You call or text
You, or your parent, tell us about the house. Sabina writes it down and calls back by the end of the next business day.
- 02
Step 2: We talk with your parent
Sabina calls your parent, with your okay, to explain who is coming and what we will do. If they would rather not, we stop there.
- 03
Step 3: The first walk-through
Nilda and one other of us come for up to 90 minutes. We walk the house with your parent and fix what we can.
- 04
Step 4: The report
Within two business days you get a short written report with photos, if your parent agrees, and a list of anything that needs a licensed trade.
- 05
Step 5: The next season
Sabina calls to book the next visit and asks what has bothered your parent since. We add it to the list.
What we carry
What we bring, and what we leave behind
We carry the tools for small fixes, and a few common parts: rails, bars, bulbs, batteries, latches, pads. Special-order items are ordered and fitted on a second visit.
Drop cloths and shoe covers for every visit
A vacuum for the dust we make
A printed copy of the report, if your parent wants one
Nothing left behind but the fixes

Questions
Questions about a visit
What happens on a quarterly visit?
We call the day before. Two of us come, walk the house with your parent and go through that season's list: stairs, rails, lighting, doors, the bathroom, rugs and cords. We fix what we can in the visit's time. Anything bigger goes on a short written list with your parent's say-so first.
Does my parent have to be home?
Yes for the first visit, so they can show us what bothers them. After that, if your parent prefers, the two of you can agree in writing on a key arrangement. We never come without a call first.
Do you tell me what you find?
Only with your parent's okay. If they agree, you get a short written report after each visit, with photos of anything we changed or recommend changing.
How does the gift card work?
You choose one visit or a full year of four. We send a card to you or to your parent, then call your parent to find a day. Your parent decides what we look at.
